i think this is the best part of your comments. very nice... i feel concerned too.

Sophie posted this on yesterday before the storm.

Quote:
Good People,

Let me begin with thanking you for subscribing to our newsletter. I'll try to keep you informed on developments of AdA without bothering you too much.

First of: the video is online!
A great big cheer for our friends at mooves for creating this beauty.

Last Saturday, thanks to the nice people of De Klos and Lawn, we had a dress rehearsal in Emmeloord. It went really well and we're pretty confident we won't let the visitors to our November gigs down in any way.

As of now, the single "Day After Yesterday" is for sale as digital download Here. To avoid any doubt: this is a legal download, we will be receiving the proceeds. This however is not the reason why I'd humbly like to ask you to go to the trouble & spend your hard-earned money; these sales would help us climb the Dutch charts and subsequently get the song on national radio. Since it is virtually impossible to get airplay without having a single in the charts, all help will be immensely appreciated.

The download portal I refer to is Dutch, therefore a small manual will be helpful:

click on the 'save' icon next to the price (€1,19 if you want only one song, € 1,89 for bundle of both songs).

in the next window, click "naar de kassa" (to check-out)

next window; choose payment method (paypal is easiest by far) and fill out your email address, then click "naar kassa".

the rest of the procedure depends on the payment method you have chosen.

Please do not hesitate to forward this message (see link at bottom)

Thanks for your interest & support, greetings

"Hello all!

I am proud to remind you that as of next week 'Air' will be in the shops!
For this happy occasion I will be selling the first copy on Thursday the 25th in Recordstore Kroese. (Molenstraat 126, Nijmegen at 20:30)
And maybe sing a few singalongs :-)

So come over and share this first AdA milestone with us!

Thank you and see you!
Anneke"

There are a few things that I really dont get at all !
First in an interview, I read this
Quote:
“I had been in the Gathering for 13 years, and I had never done anything for 13 years in my life,” says a cheerful Anneke van Giersbergen, on the phone from her home in Holland.

Right, 13 years with so many achievement [some of them milestones] is doing nothing?

The Dutch only website to pay the single... while it seems logic AdA has already probably more fans abroad than in the Netherlands...

And now this
Quote:
I am proud to remind you

Quite a weird way to formulate what I understand as, don't forget to go buy my CD...

Well, I might sound harsh but what the heck... On the first point I was simply shocked to read it... and I hope it was wrongly translated or a misunderstanding.
And the two others... I don't know. with the website where I couldnt scroll the news until today.. or with the fact Paulus as manager makes announcement for a project that meant to be sort of a solo project...
It's a mix between something very cold, and amateur... And I'm sorry to say it cause I appreciate both Anneke & Paulus...

yeah what i can interpret from your first quote, is that anneke meant that she has not done something for a period of time as long as she did in the gathering, i dont know if that is well written but hopefully youll get the point.

im most definitly looking forward for this work.

i think that it is a missing word here. the word "else"
I had never done anything else for 13 years in my life....

sounds more logical, dont you think?

yeah I guess.. but now having one listening of the album in the ears.. I still don't really see the point why leaving TG... I think I feel a bit the same than what Shrink posted somewhere else...

and to be honest, I won't be there in Nijmegen for the meet and greet, but i would find it very inappropriate if she would play some TG songs... even if she wrote them. Actually, I think it would be sort of inappropriate of her to sing any TG songs at all for a while... Just for respect for the guys who even if they have good energy and all, are still having a not so cool moment in their lives

yeah i dont see that happening, it would be just to unnecesary to be promoting a "new" album by singing old song. and i really think there is a lot of sing-along material in the "air" album, wich i think by the way is fucking awesome.

we wouldnt even know if the gathering will perform the old songs
i dont think its that unappropriate to sing the gathering songs. who wouldnt want to hear that again with annekes voice?
and what sing-a-longs could she possibly mean then? wouldnt you think it would be totally lame if its heb je even voor mij?

i dont wanna start an argue here, but the single has been out for a while know, plus a couple of songs too. and if i recall, what the invitation said was that:

Quote:
And maybe sing a few singalongs

so i can totally imagine that happing, with the songs (at list 2 of them) that had been out for a while now.
