The Gathering

there must - I think - always be some mystery, some "colour" and some "texture". There's got to be something to make the listener think; something to react to. What keeps me interested in this kind of music - whether you call it pop, alternative rock/pop, hard rock, metal or whatever - is the scope for my imagination and emotions to become involved at every level.

Last Saturday, thanks to the nice people of De Klos and Lawn, we had a dress rehearsal in Emmeloord. It went really well and we're pretty confident we won't let the visitors to our November gigs down in any way.




As of now, the single "Day After Yesterday" is for sale as digital download Here. To avoid any doubt: this is a legal download, we will be receiving the proceeds. This however is not the reason why I'd humbly like to ask you to go to the trouble & spend your hard-earned money; these sales would help us climb the Dutch charts and subsequently get the song on national radio. Since it is virtually impossible to get airplay without having a single in the charts, all help will be immensely appreciated.

There are a few things that I really dont get at all !
First in an interview, I read this

Right, 13 years with so many achievement [some of them milestones] is doing nothing?

The Dutch only website to pay the single... while it seems logic AdA has already probably more fans abroad than in the Netherlands...

And now this

Quite a weird way to formulate what I understand as, don't forget to go buy my CD...

Well, I might sound harsh but what the heck... On the first point I was simply shocked to read it... and I hope it was wrongly translated or a misunderstanding.
And the two others... I don't know. with the website where I couldnt scroll the news until today.. or with the fact Paulus as manager makes announcement for a project that meant to be sort of a solo project...
It's a mix between something very cold, and amateur... And I'm sorry to say it cause I appreciate both Anneke & Paulus...

yeah I guess.. but now having one listening of the album in the ears.. I still don't really see the point why leaving TG... I think I feel a bit the same than what Shrink posted somewhere else...

and to be honest, I won't be there in Nijmegen for the meet and greet, but i would find it very inappropriate if she would play some TG songs... even if she wrote them. Actually, I think it would be sort of inappropriate of her to sing any TG songs at all for a while... Just for respect for the guys who even if they have good energy and all, are still having a not so cool moment in their lives

And maybe sing a few singalongs
