Wow!!! I haven't been able to log on to this site for months!!! I am so happy to have finally been able to log on...maybe it has something to do with the forum going back to basics ;)

Anyway I have been listening to the songs and can't stop!!! Is there anywhere to download them? I am also looking for Audrey's Dance...would really appreciate any help! I can't sit at my computer all day...need a copy for the ipod! :flower:

I ask myself:
Where is old tatoo of the left arm?
Photoshop… distance of The Gathering era? it was necessary that?

What do you think about "Trail of Grief"?
My favorite so far

Trail of Grief song reveals more about Jacques de Haard and Rob Snijders talent: this duet is absolutely... ouh mama!
yeah, Trail of Grief drum hits and bass lines are very terrific and brings a lot of soul and consistency to AdA music than it already had (the other songs tempos are quite well done too and fits each music message it transmits)... the cohesion is very significant in this track. I enjoy them more than the rest of the instruments... can't help swinging at each listening , especially during the guitars and vocals crescendos at the end of the song...
well, too early to say this song is my favourite.

Nothing new about Anneke... she's wonderful, as always. eheh.

I keep having this feeling that the band will sound 1000X better on the stage. I mean, I love the studio work, no doubt about that, but I cant wait to see them playing 5 feet away from me :D

Yes burn, I meant that the "eye" tatoo.

About Trail of Grief song, I think that sounds like Radiohead.
From 2:20 minute until the end. It´s like: “wow! I´m listening to paranoid android” But it´s a good song, better than 2 previous songs. Anneke always will rules with her voice, but, is her style (and the new band ADA) which doesn`t convince to me, the musical, visual style… concept :-|

We’ve just received word that Anneke van Giersbergen will return with her new band, AQUA DE ANNIQUE, on October 30 with the release of Air on The End Records. According to the press release, “AQUA DE ANNIQUE’s music captures the solace and beauty of life, told through a wondrous backdrop of musical arrangements and emotionally-drenched lyrics

well, I think that is an interesting proposal, I liked the fusion between jazz and other grass, and the influence of the last works of the gathering. A good mixture, but I'm not sure that I will listen every day.

Great news, I can't wait :)

Trail of grief is my favorite song of them yet, it's much more interesting than the previous two. Good luck for Anneke with the new project! :)

Huh? It's a nice concept. Really, really, good and I'm so anxious to get the album.

In the mean time, another song!

Download Witnesses here.

BEAUTIFUL!

Agua de Annique in Norway

Dear people,

Do you also make 'middle of the year resolutions'?
Mine is to blog more frequent :-)

I wanted to give you a little update on our Agua de Annique adventures.
At the moment we are in Norway and we just finished the final mix with Jon Anders Narum at the Eastlake Studio in Eina.

Image

It's a beautiful place and Jon Anders lives at this fantastic lake with his family.
We had a great time there.
The songs will be mastered at the end of this month. I am very happy and proud of the result so far!

We are also making a nice family vacation. We have seen some nice places already and now we are back in Oslo.
We stay at Kristin's place, you might know her from Pale Forest. She also sings on our AdA album.

We will start playing shows in Holland this November and December.
The exact dates will follow very soon and we'll also give you a release date of 'Air'.
I guess we won't be playing outside of Holland this year, but we definitely will in 2008.

Many greetings!
Anneke
