Hi, i'm Violetta. I'm bulgarian but for the last 4 years i've been living in the Uk doing some charity work and now work as a care assistant. Felt in love with TG in 1996-1997 when a friend of mine gave me a tape and told me you're not gonna like this. Ever since i dreamt of seeing them life and finally it happened on the 13.06 2003 when my ex-boyfriend gave me the ticket as a final present for my birthday, which was exactly a month before the gig. What a better end of something so horrible (turning 28  )
So here i am now, looking for tickets for the Berlin show and feeling miserable because i can't find any

i love your nickname

Wassup, y'all

I'm in Houston, TX USA but I'm not originally from here because I'm a Navy brat. Been into The Gathering since about 98 or 99. I used to listen to them when I was working offshore and there's nothing like listening to The Gathering while at sea. I even got one of the other roustabouts into them (most of those guys listen to country).

Anyway, wassup?

Mr. Priapus

Ok, My names Laura,
Im irish, Im 23-which makes me a rooster(chinese zodiac)
my interests are; singing(one of the many reasons I love the Gathering!) Dancing(I like going to raves) I used to draw a lot-sadly I dont do this much any more, spinning poi(with and without fire), a bit of bellydancing, movies and quality tv programming.

As far as music is concerned I like lots of everything, techno(esp Speedy J-another dutchman!, aphex twin and Richie Hawtin) Chick singers(Tori Amos, Kate Bush, Bjork, PJ Harvey, Erykah Badu, Bjork and Ani Di Franco) Assorted Rock type stuff (NIN, Nirvana, Foo fighters, Sepultura, and other stuff my boyfriend introduced me to!) Some drum n bass(more lamb and Kosheen) some hip hop, and sixties motown soul(supremes, martha and the vandelas, james brown, al greene, etc)
And The Gathering of course!!!

Introduce Yourself... (nice album from the music gods Faith No More R.I.P.)

Hehehehe... alright just a little 'bout me then.

I am Jarno from Groningen the Netherlands. Hit 30 last year... oh oh that will make me 31 sometime this year... Employed but not the job i studied for... So still looking...

Got into The Gathering.. pffff around '92/93. Saw them the first time when they were on the "Always" Tour... back in the days... Lost interest after "Almost a Dance" (who didn't) :P Picked uhm up again when Mandylion was released... and been a truthfull follower ever since... So you could say i am old skool *GRIN*.. must be ... almost hitting 31 :P

The Sleepy Buildings Semi Acoustic Tour.. was the high point for me... WOW.. what a concert...! I was Awestruck..! Got good seats to... 3rd row in the middle... in front of Anneke :P

Anywayz... i can blabber on and on... Somebody else can have the pen now... See You Later Guyz and Galz!

It's nice to have one of the first followers of TG in our forum. I'm sure we've got a lot of things to learn from that first period of the band, how many people knew the band, what they were thinkig of them (before Anneke joined the group) and what went wrong with "almost a dance" etc... Hope I'm not asking too much

Anyway, welcome Jarno! :D

Hi!

I'm Laura, and I live in the southern United States. I'm 35, married with two kids, and I work for Guitar Center as a salesperson. I recently finished college with a degree in English literature and language. I'm a writer, musician and artist. The Gathering is my second favorite band, Cheap Trick being first. I'm also really into 311. I'm really into guitars and guitarists, especially shredders, Paul Gilbert is my favorite.

Just discovered this forum this morning. I've been listening to The Gathering for about 7 years now I guess, and unless they are suddenly discovered here I guess I probably won't ever get to see them live. :(

Anneke is my favorite female singer. I am constantly amazed at her talent not only as a singer but as a lyricist etc.
